Wired Magazine has an interesting article on why Weight Watchers Inc. changed to the new Points Plus 2-12 program. The article provides some interesting background on how science interfaces with a commercial operation like Weight Watchers. At the fulcrum is Weight Watcher’s Chief Science Office, Karen Miller-Kovach. I’m biased here. I’ve know Karen Miller-Kovach since my earliest days in the field. The article quotes CEO David Kirchhoff stating that Ms. Miller-Kovach tells it like it is and has “no filter.” Well, I can attest to that. She is the real deal and brings great credibility to Weight Watchers Inc. and the colleagues who have enjoyed working with her. Weight Watchers Revamps Its Magic Formula | Magazine
